Ingredients

  • Shrimp Lettuce Wrap Recipe
  • 12 oz. shrimp, cut into bite-size pieces

  • 1 tsp. sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves minced

  • 1 tsp. freshly grated ginger

  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce

  • ¼ cup fresh shredded carrot

  • ¼ cup sliced sweet bell peppers

  • 2 Tablespoons water chestnuts, sliced

  • 2 Tablespoons celery, diced

  • 2 Tablespoons diced onion

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Butter lettuce for cups

  • 2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1.5 Tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1/2 Tablespoon chili paste

  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Directions

  • In a large sauté pan, heat sesame oil and canola oil over medium high heat.
  • Sauté onion, bell peppers, celery, and carrot together until softened and lightly toasted. Add in garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Next add in shrimp, water chestnuts, scallions, soy sauce, and sweet chili sauce. Cook just until the shrimp is cooked through. Taste for seasoning.
  • Remove from heat and serve with butter lettuce cups. Enjoy!
